Laser speed & settings converter
Convert a speed between millimeters or inches, per second or per minute. The calculation preserves the speed. It does not establish the power, passes or other conditions for a different laser. Keep the machine and source context with any setting you use.

What the calculation does
One minute contains 60 seconds. To convert mm/min to mm/s, divide by 60. To convert inches to millimeters, multiply by 25.4: NIST defines one inch as exactly 25.4 mm. The starting example, 600 mm/min, equals 10 mm/s.

Common questions
Does a unit conversion change the power percentage?
No. This tool changes only the speed unit. Power percentage, passes, focus and other settings are outside the calculation.
Can I use the result on a different laser?
The result describes the same speed in another unit. It does not establish suitable settings for another machine, material or operation.
